About the Global Dental A & E Scheme
Our dental plans include access to the Global Dental Accident & Emergency Scheme, which was established to support patients who request assistance or treatment following an accident, dental emergency, or are diagnosed with mouth cancer.
While the scheme aims to provide benefits in most cases, it is wholly discretionary, unlike an insurance programme. The scheme manager will assess each case individually to decide whether or not to provide benefits. Further details are available from the practice or you can visit www.globaldentalscheme.co.uk to find out more.
Membership terms and conditions
- All dental treatments must be carried out at Sutton Dental Practice.
- All oral health products are purchased at the clinic.
- Monthly payments are made by Direct Debit.
- The membership year runs for 12 months from commencement/renewal; if for any reason the membership is cancelled before the end of this period, any discounts given will be repayable in light of early cancellation.
- Fees are effective as of 01/04/2025 and we reserve the right to review these fees at any time.
- If you cancel your membership, we do not refund any payments as our membership plan is structured to distribute the cost of essential annual dental care evenly over 12 months. This model ensures that our patients can access consistent and quality dental services without the burden of significant one-time charges. Additionally, holding a membership spot at our practice implies the reservation of resources and appointment slots that are otherwise unavailable to other potential patients. It is important to note that the membership fees primarily contribute towards the ongoing availability of comprehensive dental care and emergency services, regardless of the frequency of actual usage.
- We will send reminders of your appointment by SMS or email. We cannot guarantee the arrival of such messages. You are responsible for ensuring that your contact details are kept up to date and scheduling your appointments. You should attend at the agreed time and date.
- We turn away about 30 people a week who wish to become a member of our practice. We do this so that we can ensure we deliver the service we have promised to you. We therefore politely request that you honour your appointments.
- We require 2 full working days’ notice to be able to reschedule your oral health assessment or your hygienists’ appointments appointment otherwise we retain the right to charge a short notice cancellation fee if we are unableto fill your appointment with another patient’s needs.
- In the first instance, the practice reserves the right to rearrange a failed to attend orappointment cancelled at short notice in the following calendar month (after a further Membership payment has been made by direct debit).
- Please refer to your treatment plan for full terms regarding the failed to attend and short notice cancellation administration fee for treatment appointments.
- Short notice cancellations or failure to attend your appointment will mean forfeiting your appointment or paying the private fee for your oral health assessment and your hygienist visit.
- Whilst we endeavour to ensure you are given every opportunity to have access for appointments, however, making and attending appointments is the patient’s responsibility and no refund will be given for non attendance.
- Included treatments are those deemed clinically necessary and appropriate following assessment by your dental professional. The value of the treatment cannot be transferred or refunded.
- Monthly payments are made by direct debit to our plan provider directly and will show on your bank statement as ‘dental practice’.
- Serious dental emergencies during practice working hours should be brought to the attention of the practice as early in the morning as possible to allow triage and scheduling in one of our reserved emergency sessions for the same day. We endeavour to see members who contact the practice later in the day within 24 hours within the working week.
- For the safety of your precious loved ones, please ensure you have childcare for your appointments as we do not have the staffing levels or insurance cover to be responsible for anyone but the patient we have booked in the diary.
- For full terms and conditions of membership please see our website and for Global Accident Scheme please go to www.globaldentalscheme.co.uk
